Teenage Ghost

Vi turned around and looked at the patch of frost that grew like white mold on the wall directly behind her back. She faked a shiver and shrugged quickly, “We must be sitting behind the air conditioning.” She the quickly returned her glance towards Evan, but it was now blocked by three preppie teenage girls.
Belenda, Kiesha, and Jody sat an exact number of rows between their friend and the back row. They acted as if they were a human shield, repelling the evil tyrants who lorded over them from above.
Josh and Jarzon returned with a tub of popcorn and four sodas.
“It’s cold up here.” Josh observed. “Do you want to move? It’s warmer at the bottom of the stairs.”
“No I don’t want to move.” Vi snapped.
“Just asking.” Josh tried to ignore her and passed out the sodas.
The three preppy girls burst out in loud giggles.
“I wish they’d shut up.” Vi complained.
“Don’t let them ruin our evening, Vi.” Josh tried to calm her down. “Here put my jacket on, you look cold.”
Vi flashed a quick angry smile at him, then returned glaring at the trio a few rows below.
Josh took off his jacket and handed it to Vi.
Vi drew in a deep breath and tried to let go of some of the anger she held inside. Josh really was trying his best to be kind to her and put her in a better mood. She took his jacket and put it on, she could feel his warmth and energy still on it.
Jarzon took a different approach. He held the tub of popcorn in his lap and turned to Brenda. “Can I put my arm around you and snuggle up close so I can stay warm?” he asked in almost a child like manner.
Brenda felt her cheeks burn hot and a smile stretched across her face.
Jarzon wasted no time, he set his arm around her and snuggled in close.
