Teenage Ghost

“And what class rooms are in this wing.” Officer Donelson pointed to the part of the school engulfed in flames.
Addie looked at the school on fire, her mind was blank. “I don’t know.” she shook her head then hung it. “I’m not that familiar with the school layout yet.”
The officer looked at the pad he had been writing notes in. “Would Mr. Holbert be more familiar with the school’s layout?”
“Yes!” Addie looked up at the officer with hope in her eyes. Though she was not sure what she was hoping for.
“All right. We already have a car dispatched to his residence.” The officer started to exit the car. “Stay put.”
Addie let out a loud sigh, where could she go?

“I don’t know how.” Jeff explained Eartha. “I was hoping that somehow you might know something, or where to look to find out something.”
Eartha drew in a breath, “Look kid, I’d like to help. I no more know how to turn you into a real boy that I do how to improve my finances. You’re going to have to play out your Pinocchio fantasy elsewhere.” Though she would have to do some research regardless, now that she knew what she was combating was phantom and not human.
Eartha clicked on the television to distract her from the ghostly nuisance that now infested her apartment. The local news blared out loudly the second the she clicked the power on. “What the?” she tried to turn the volume on the remote down, but the remote acted as if the batteries died.
Jeff jerked around and turned and looked at the television. “No!” he gasped out loud as he saw the breaking news.
“What is this place?” Eartha questioned above the blare of the sound.
“Studemont High School.” Jeff looked in horror at Eartha. “It’s Vi’s school.”
“You think she did this?” Eartha watched the inferno that seemed to blaze with endless fury. She looked back at the ghost she had refused to help, and began to seriously rethink her stance on the whole helping ghosts subject.
