Teenage Ghost

The next day at school Evan was sitting with Inja talking about math homework, before first class.
Jeff walked up unnoticed by the two, and had to set his hand on Evan’s shoulder to get his attention.
Evan’s eyes widened. “Jeff!” he screamed and jumped up and hugged his friend tightly. “I never thought I would see you again! Where have you been? Where did you go? What have you been doing?”
“I can’t remember.” Jeff said breaking loose from the hug. “I can’t remember anything. I was at the mall, I went to use the restroom, and then it’s all blank. The next thing I remember I was here at school, and I was having to save Vi…”
“What?!?!” Evan stopped him.
Inja felt everything in her become depressed, and she fought back the tears that were trying to ease out of her eyes. She was sitting right here, and yet he would rather worry about his X-Girlfriend. He didn’t even introduce her to his best friend, who had missing for long.
“Is she ok?” Evan asked. “Where is she? What happened?”
“I have to go get ready for class.” Inja said meekly and then got up and rushed off before Evan could even respond.
Evan started to call out to her, but it was too late, she’d already entered the building. He returned his attention to Jeff.
“She was attacked in the stairwell last night.” Jeff explained. “I don’t think anyone got a real good look at it.”
“It?” Evan was confused. “Was it some kind of animal?”
“No.” Jeff shook his head. “I’m not sure what it was. It looked like a spirit.”
Evan chuckled a little, thinking it was a joke. “She was attacked by a ghost on Halloween?” Evan looked at his with disbelief. “Come on Jeff, there’s no such things as ghosts.”
