Teenage Ghost

Dan hooked the hard drive into the external casing and turned the power on. He waited patiently but it was taking longer than he expected.
Dan got up and left it there, then walked to the kitchen. He made himself a snack and poured himself a glass of cold milk. He took his dinner back to the computer.
Dan noticed the hard drive was loaded and the contents were on the screen. Every 24 hours marked since the day it was installed, to the morning of the attack.
He sighed and sat his food down, then settled in his chair. Only time would tell whether they had gone to the shack first or last. It was too bad there wasn’t a camera in the shack to see how they got in there in the first place.
He clicked the last file in the multiple view directory.
He’d been thinking about it ever since, how did they get into the shed considering the doors were padlocked on the outside? Double padlocked, not even single. He could understand if there was a window in the shack, but there was only solid wood walls. He just could not understand it.
He took a nice large bite out of his sandwich and watched the screen.
12:00 am the time started at, there were four cameras streaming at the same time. The individual feeds were in separate directories. He clicked the time lapse plus button on the side to speed up the frames. He chewed slowly and then took a gulp of milk.
Then he saw it out of he corner of his eye.
On one of the cameras in the Science Lab. An insane blur of movement that seemed like stools flying in the air.
His appetite vanished. He quickly stopped the film and rewound it to where it began.
He watched with disbelief as the stools flew into the air on their own. Heavy wooden cabinets filled with science glassware fell to the ground with incredible force. Papers flew up into the air like a tempest brewed in the center of the room. Then as the storm dies down and the papers began to fall lifelessly to the ground in the first Lab, the chaos began anew in the second lab. This continued until all that was left on the screens one by one, was total chaos. All except one room, the Audio Visual room was untouched.
He clicked on the single view cameras and checked every single one. There was not a trace of anyone who could have been doing it. There was no logical explanation for any of what he was witnessing.
Finally he clicked on the A/V cam and watched it. He thought he saw nothing on it, he was beginning to get bleared eyed and sleepy near the end of it. In fact he closed his eyes for a moment and then woke back up. Then he saw a quick blur right in front of the lens almost blacking it completely out, and bzzt the file was over.
He restarted the file and skipped all the way to the end. The camera’s were all installed near the ceiling, there was no way for anything to be up there to blur out the camera like that.
Then the moment came and out of nowhere was a teenage girl’s face. She had black un-brushed wild hair, dark mascara and eyeliner. She was paler than white and her eyes looked like solid round ebony circles. She snarled with her black lips. Then as quickly as she appeared, she was gone.
Dan stared in disbelief. Who was going to believe this?
