Teenage Ghost

Vi waved to Evan from her seat in the food court. She stood up and walked over to him, “Let’s not waste any time.” She locked her arm in his and started walking him out of the area, “Tell me where it was you last saw Jeff.”
Evan tried to get her to let go of his arm, but she would not him go.
Neither of them noticed Inja’s friend Belenda sitting in the far corner of the food court watching them.
An evil smile crept over Belenda’s face as she captured the whole meeting on her phone. After all, it was her duty as a best friend.
“We were right here.” Evan stood in front of the novelty shop. He turned in the direction of the restrooms. “I thought he’d gone to the restroom.”
Vi let loose of Evan’s arm and looked around the section. She looked to the right and saw the corridor that lead to the Gypsy. If that old woman had done this, she’d have to get even. Vi narrowed her eyes and asked in annoyance, “You didn’t go to the fortune teller did you?”
“No.” Evan looked around for a fortune teller shopfront.
“She’s down there.” Vi pointed towards Fortuness. “In fact…” Vi started to try find a way to get rid of Evan so she could interrogate the gypsy alone. Then she saw her distraction across the breezeway, Belenda was holding up her phone recording the two.
Vi grabbed Evan and spun him around til he was facing his girlfriend’s best friend. “I think you better go straighten out your friend over there. Before you loose a girlfriend. Those girls are nothing but trouble. Go sort it out. I’ll look around here and see if I find anything.”
“Thanks.” Evan said as he ran off across the walkway.
