Teenage Ghost

Anger seethed up inside Vi like an inferno. Nothing was going her way these days. School would be opening soon and all her trinkets and phones had taken away by the maintenance man. She was no longer safe to do as she pleased at the Mall, there was some gypsy witch with supernatural powers camped out. Even her boyfriend was impossible to see, not that he wanted to see her anyway.
Vi wanted to destroy something. Something or someone. It really didn’t matter. All she felt was rage, anger, and hatred. Someone needed to pay. Someone had to pay for all this.
Vi walked the halls of Studemont High and thought.
Three days before schools starts. All the classrooms were in pristine shape. The hallways freshly painted and cleaned. The office stocked and supplied. Everything was ready for the school year to begin.
Vi glanced in the open doorways of the clean, fresh classrooms as she passed. Then she no longer thought.
She rushed in a fury to the first classroom and tore it apart. She overturned every desk one by one. She opened the teachers desk and tossed every paper in it across the room. She tore down the displays on the walls.
In the science labs she turned on all the Bunsen Burners and tossed the cabinets on their side. The glass instruments inside shattered with a magnificent sound. Every specimen in every jar was busted out and left on the counters and lab tables.
In the gym she took out all the gym equipment and scattered it everywhere. She took the football team’s gear and strew it out all across the football field. She tore up everything in the coach’s office, every scrap of paper and every achievement ribbon. She broke into the trophy case in the hallway and smashed every trophy.
Everything in the nurse’s office was destroyed. All medical instruments were broken beyond repair, and she smashed the old mercury thermometers on the tile flooring.
She destroyed the announcement room. She disabled all electronics and computers in the office. All the papers were tossed til they carpeted the entire office two inches deep. She broke into the staff records and found Dan Holbert’s file. She left it on the principle’s desk after leaving everything else in disarray.
