Vampires

“They will come for us, you know this.” Augustus spoke to Jeremiah after the trio had left.
“I already told Viktor I would fight them.” Jeremiah assured his friend.
“Vampires on the side of humanity.” Augustus shook his head. “It’s unnatural.”
“They could never fend for themselves, you know this.” Jeremiah was not concerned for the humans. “Shall I find the others and bring them in?”
“Yes.” Augustus didn’t hesitate. “We have time. Call them all in.”
Jeremiah nodded then left the house for the open road.

Viktor walked into Alfonz’s office and started to report. “I think we must prepare to fight more than just mankind. You were right about your suspicions. Jeremiah is a spy. Augustus is against an uprising.” He drew in a deep breath, “Also you are correct about the Elders, I believe they intend to stop us.”
Alfonz grimaced. “It will take every ounce of virgin blood we have just to fight them off.” he snapped.
“That would be a good strategy. There’s no way our forces can attack three foes at once and retain numbers.” Viktor reasoned.
“What of the two elders you brought?” Alfonz questioned.
“Expendable.” Viktor sat down. “They are the “Master Race” with centuries of experience and knowledge to aid them. Even if we mass produced soldiers we would never outwit them.”
“No, we would not.” Alfonz agreed in anger. “They will side with the hunters and aid them to wipe us out.” He slammed his fist on the desk. “They have been waiting for this opportunity all along. To attack us while we are weak and drain our numbers til there are none left but them.”
    Viktor said nothing.
“This is our one chance.” Alfonz decided. “We can not leave anything to chance.”
