Vampires

After the meeting Utheus and Argon approached Viktor in private.
“You came all this way to get soldiers, did you not?” Utheus questioned.
Viktor glanced at the two muscle bound machines. They were excellent soldiers now, infused with virgin blood they would be Super Soldiers.
“Augustus does not speak for us.” Argon said in a solid tone.
“He speaks for the clan, for the tribe as a whole.” Utheus added. “We are free to leave at any time, just as Elizabeth did.”
“Elizabeth was expelled.” Jeremiah walked out from the shadows.
“What do you care Jeremiah.” Utheus stammered.
“I can see you are not happy here.” Viktor addressed the two. “You are welcome to come back with me to the compound. Alfonz would be most pleased to have two seasoned specimens. He will most likely put you on the front lines when the battle comes.”
    Jeremiah said nothing.
“And what about you?” Argon asked Jeremiah. “Are you going back?”
    “I’ve not decided.” Jeremiah replied.
    “I’m going.” Utheus said.
“I want in as well.” Argon added.
Viktor turned to Jeremiah, “I will wait two days, in case more change their mind.” He set his hand on Jeremiah’s shoulder, “In case you change your mind.”
“Appreciated.” Jeremiah said with no emotion and watched Argon and Utheus.
After Viktor left the room, the blood lust could no longer be contained by Utheus.
He howled out loud as if he were a werewolf who had been stalking his prey tirelessly all night and lost the scent, then suddenly found it again. “I can’t wait to kill them ALL!
Argon smiled, his blackened jagged teeth showing.
“It will be like the days of old, my Brother!” Utheus put his arm around Argon and jostled him around. “You never knew of such joy. The conquest, the survival. The look on their face when they realize they can not win.” Utheus smiled showing his rotted stub teeth. “The sweet taste of victory. Their fear is like bittersweet fruit in the blood.” He turned to Argon, “How long has it been since you tasted pure, absolute fear?”
    “The war.” Argon replied.
“The War, Indeed.” Utheus agreed robustly and then glanced at Jeremiah with a wicked grin.
