Lottery 1

Steven relaxed in the private hot tub in his hotel room. The faced the dresser which held a large, but old television. He clicked on the television, flipped through the channels, and settled on the local news. He turned the sound up so high the vibrations of it began to slowly move his cellphone from the back of the dresser to the center.
Every inch of stress he had ever had floated away on the bubbles. He half laughed to himself, he couldn’t believe how his luck had changed. One night he was Mr. Nobody stuck in a dead end job with no possibility of parole. The next night he was worth a half billion dollars. The world was his, he could do absolutely anything he wanted to. Anything he’d ever wanted to do, he now had the money to do it.
Right now he felt like champagne.
Steven got out of the hot tub and walked to the room phone. He picked up the receiver and pressed 0.
“Yes Sir, Mr. Stymes?” the voice on the other end answered.
Steven’s cellphone went off across the room, it began vibrating wildly and teetered near the edge. “I’ll call back.”
“Very Good, Sir…” the other end began.
Steven hung up on the attendant and rushed to his phone, catching it just as it fell off the dresser.
He looked at the phone in confusion, the number was unlisted. “Hello?” he answered.
“Mr. Stymes?” the rough voice on the other end questioned, though Steven could barely hear him over the blaring television.
    “Who is this?” Steven asked.
“Steven Stymes? Who’s sister is Lucy Stymes?” the rough voice continued.
“Who is this?” Steven repeated, and reached for the remote turning off the television.
“The brother and sister that supposedly won the half billion Tri-State Lottery?” the voice sounded more assured than before.
“Who are you?” Steven asked again.
“Oh you’ll find out soon enough.” the rough voice stated and hung up.
Devine looked at the phone, “He’s in England somewhere.” He looked at Lou. “So what do you want me to do? Go out there and look for him, or wait for him to comeback here?”
Lou shrugged, “Got to come back home sometime. They can’t spend it all on a trip. We’ll wait.”
Marvin nodded, “I’ll set up at his place first then.”
“Whatever you need.” Lou relaxed in his chair.
