The plane set down at Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. Steven and Lucy exited out of the plane and into the busy airport.
The first thing Lucy noticed was she couldn’t understand a word that was spoken over the intercom or around her. When she tried to ask for help in english she got nowhere.
Finally a fellow traveler stopped by the two and helped them to baggage claim, and gave them the name of the exit they needed to hail a cab.
“Why did you want to come to Canada?”, Steven complained to his sister.
“I thought they all spoke english up here.” Lucy tried to explain.
The two entered a vacant cab. The dark skinned driver turned around and looked at the couple. He had a red dot on his sixth chakra, and wild dark eyebrows over his dark coffee colored eyes. “Où voulez-vous aller?” he said to the passengers.
Lucy and Steven looked at each other in confusion.
“Où voulez-vous aller?” he repeated again and looked at them as if they should know regardless of language exactly what he was referring to.
“3545 Dézéry.” Steven read off a piece of paper and then held up a brochure for a bed and breakfast near the famous Botanical Garden.
The driver nodded and turned around, in less than thirty minutes they arrived.
Steven was less than impressed they seemed to be staying in a residential neighborhood. He would rather have the decadence of a large hotel, preferably one with every amenity. However, he knew his sister liked things simpler, quieter. She liked to blend in rather than stand out.
Lucy smiled as she looked at the quaint brick building and it’s many balconies. The neighborhood seemed so peaceful and serene. She breathed in a deep breath of fresh air and left all of her troubles behind her.

Marvin and Aston had been working closely for two days now. They had followed every lead they had til it had run dry. They showed the picture they pulled off the computer store camera to everyone in the surrounding neighborhoods. People either weren’t talking, or the woman simply was just in the right place at the right time that one day.
Neither Marvin nor Aston believed the latter.
They scoured every apartment complex harassing the managers to see if anyone had suddenly broken contract and moved out.
Marvin took special care to look in the laundry rooms for anyone who might be willing to make a few bucks. He found no takers.
When the two reported back to a unhappy Lou, they were worried about their life expectancy.
Lou wasn’t willing to give up so easy. “There has to be a way to find out who turned in that ticket. The state will have a record. We just need someone with a high enough clearance.” He sat back in his chair and looked at the duo, “We need to make some new friends.”
