Isabelle

“This woman who welcomed you into her home and treated you like a confidant. She trusted you with her most prized possession in the entire world, her only daughter.” Alfred’s hot breath poured over Miss Goodwin’s cheek. His hands clutched her shoulders securely, so she could not move from him.
Miss Goodwin began to feel fear replace her desire. The small hairs on her neck stood on end again, but this time out of warning and not wanting. Her heart still beating fast, and her breath still quick and shallow. All thoughts were cleared from her mind, she knew at once she had made a grave mistake. She remained still and silent, afraid that any movement would be the end of her.
Alfred felt the woman go stiff under his touch. “There you sat day after day in front of Agatha. Silently devising to take away the only woman she has ever loved, her Mother. You conspired to rip her heart out while smiling and teaching her French. How could you look into those innocent, cheerful eyes day after day, and think of nothing more than bringing heartache and pain to them?”
Miss Goodwin said nothing. Her heart began beating so hard she was shaking from the force of it.
“You make a mockery of the love Isabelle and I share in your intimate fantasies. You disrespect our sacred vows, in your plotting. Such evil I can not abide.” Alfred slid his hands from a tight grip on her shoulders to a loose grasp of her throat.
Miss Goodwin leapt from her sitting place the tried to rush forward. She only resulted in bumping into the furniture there. She remembered only 2 doors led out of the room, one was to her right. She rushed instinctively to it, but it was locked.
She was pinned against the door now by Alfred, a chair blocked the only other escape she might have had.
Alfred pushed against her with almost all his might. “What am I to do of this?” he questioned in a dark tone.
Miss Goodwin was in tears now, she was shaking and could not stop. “Please,” she begged. “Please. Forgive my indiscretion, it will not happen again.”
Alfred slowly moved away from her, but did not leave her enough space to move from her position. “I should believe your lies now?” he questioned. “Only for the love Isabelle bears you will I let you stay in your position. The love Agatha bears you will afford you this one secret with me. Betray me again and I will not spare you.”
“I wont.” Miss Goodwin stated in a shaky voice.
Alfred moved back and unlocked the door to the hallway.
The light poured in the pitch black room. Miss Goodwin cowered in place and watched the shadow of the man walk out. Once his foot steps could no longer be heard in the silent house, she scampered out of the room. Her heart beat with fear as she ran from the house not two hours before she desired to be the Mistress of.
