Isabelle
“Margaret!” A handsome young man called from the second exit.
“I must excuse myself.” Margaret bowed slightly and rushed to meet her suitor.
Thomas waited for the curious Isabelle while watching Margaret and her suitor talk under a shady tree.
Isabelle emerged from the second exit. Eyeing her friend’s neck, she noticed the necklace was gone.
Thomas smiled at her from a distance.
Margaret giggled then instinctively reached for her necklace and screeched in shock.
Isabelle turned back to her friend.
“We have to go back inside and look for it!” Margaret urged the young man and rushed back inside.
Thomas walked to Isabelle. “You did not alert your friend about me.” He leaned in close to her ear, “Nor would you kiss me to save her jewels. Should I think you have an affection for me?” He glanced at her blushing cheeks. “The jewels I steal from you, I keep forever.” he warned. “However, these jewels.” he set his hand in his pocket. “Hold no value to me.” Thomas began to leave the park.
Isabelle chased after him, “What if I tell.”
Thomas turned to her, “Then not only will I be prisoner of your heart, but of your conscious as well.”
